Description

Welcome to October movesets, a month of villains, monsters, and everything in between! Next up…

**PYRAMID HEAD BRINGS JUDGEMENT TO SMASH!!**

Name: Pyramid Head

Universe: Silent Hill

Entrance: Out of a thin air, Pyramid Head lumbers onto the stage with the Great Knife dragging slowly and heavily behind him!

Specials------------------------------

B- Spear of Despair- Pyramid Head summons a mighty spear and winds back before stabbing it forward with all his brute strength. This long range spear deals great DMG but no knockback. Instead, similar to Corrin’s side special, opponents stabbed by the spear will be held in place for a few moments. If Pyramid Head stabs into an opponent you can press B again, and Pyramid Head will bring the spear and stabbed opponent quickly towards him, where he delivers a brutal upwards swing with his pyramid helmet to deliver a powerful upwards blow to opponents!

Side B- Rites of Judgement- A move inspired by Pyramid Head’s appearance in Dead by Daylight, Pyramid Head stabs his great knife into the ground and rushes forward a medium distance. From the ground where the great knife was stabbed and dragged through rises infernal wooden planks and barbed wire emanating red demonic energy. These infernal barbed wire traps remain in effect for about 3 seconds before vanishing (about the same time as Steve’s crafted blocks). Pyramid Head travels about as far as Fox and Falco’s side special when using this special. If an opponent is hit by or touches the infernal contraption, they receive small DMG but more importantly have a infernal poison effect on them (same as a regular poison, but with red particles instead of purple) which will slowly deal DMG to opponents over a period of time. The higher their DMG the longer the infernal poison will last. One unique feature to this special however is the way DMG is dealt. If an opponent is standing still, the effect deals less DMG over time. But as they move it deals more DMG, creating the effect/idea that moving is causing more agony to opponents. If used in the air it will not create infernal traps, but if Pyramid Head hits an opponent when using this attack in the air they will take the infernal poison effect and DMG.

Up B- Cages of Agony- An infernal rusted metallic cage forms around Pyramid Head with spikes stabbing out in all directions. The cage spins rapidly horizontally as Pyramid Head uses the spinning to launch himself into the air! This recovery doesn’t gain much air and is one of the lowest recoveries in the game, however the cage deals great rapid strings of DMG to opponents caught in the recovery attack which can quickly rack up DMG if used right!

Down B- Punishment of the Damned- Pyramid Head leans back with the great knife dragging behind him. He uses all of his might to lift the blade above his head and brings it slamming downward in an overhead arc in front of him with all of his hellish might! The move works very similarly to Byleth’s down special, with a bit more startup and end lag, but the tradeoff of much more DMG. If it missed, Pyramid Head is very much left open to attacks so use it when you are sure you can land a hit! If he makes contact with an opponent however, it deals massive DMG and knockback and could actually KO opponents at much lower DMG then an attack could usually do. It is an insanely powerful killing move with lots of risk and reward to it.

Final Smash- Final Judgement- Pyramid Head grabs the great knife with both hands and delivers a massive low to high arcing slash attack in an attempt to capture an opponent in the slash of the infernal knife. If an opponent is caught in the attack, they are transported to a dark barren butcher-like cellar from Silent Hill where they stand staggered together. From the shadows the loud dragging of metal is heard as two Pyramid Heads appear from the shadows. They walk towards the captured opponents and lift their giant knives high at the same time and with a hellish howl, bring the knives slamming down onto the captured opponent! This deals massive DMG and sends the opponent back to the battlefield, unless they have over 90% DMG at which the final smash will instantly kill the opponent.

Standard Moves---------------------------------------------

Neutral A- Pyramid Head delivers a forward punch, a shin kick, and then a single slow spin attack with the great knife.

A Left/Right- Pyramid Head lifts the great knife and delivers a slow but strong horizontal swing.

A Dash- Bending over with his back enough to have his head pointing forward, Pyramid Head rushes and rams forward with the spike of his pyramid helmet.

A Up- Pyramid Head grabs the great knife and stabs it straight upwards with both hands.

A Down- Pyramid Head slashes/drags the great knife low to the ground.

Smash Left/Right- Pyramid Head grabs the great knife with both hands and delivers a slow but devastating stab attack straight forward.

Smash Up- Pyramid Head delivers a slow but powerful overhead arcing attack with the great knife very similar to Ganondorf’s up smash.

Smash Down- Pyramid Head grabs the great knife with both hands and lifts it high while charging. Once released, Pyramid Head stabs the great knife so hard into the ground that it create two similar great knives which stab upwards from the ground on both sides of Pyramid Head.

Aerial Neutral- Pyramid Head performs a large head swinging attack in a circle.

Aerial Forward- Pyramid Head takes the great knife and slowly but powerfully swings it over head high to low in front of him, dealing massive DMG and spiking opponents.

Aerial Backward- Pyramid Head stabs backwards with the hilt of the great knife.

Aerial Up- Pyramid Head thrusts his sharp pyramid helmet upwards with a loud growl.

Aerial Down- Lifting the great knife high, Pyramid Head ruthlessly stabs it straight downward with all his might.

Taunt/Result Screen---------------------------------------------------

Taunt 1 (Up) – Pyramid Head grabs onto his helmet and groans with a low growl.

Taunt 2 (Side) – Pyramid Head drags the great knife to the front and then back, as it makes a loud scratching sound.

Taunt 3 (Down) – A light rain coming from…somewhere…. begins to rain on Pyramid Head. He breathes large breathes and stares at the screen…

Defeat Pose- Pyramid Head simply stares forward, not clapping, not moving.

Victory Pose 1- Pyramid Head walks slowly towards the screen and lifts his great knife with all his might to bring it crashing down in front of him!

Victory Pose 2- A downpour of rain is seen on the victory screen as Pyramid Head simply stands there breathing heavily and the camera closes in on him.

Victory Pose 3- The camera looks left and right for a moment before a low roar is heard. The camera turns around as Pyramid Head is lifting the Great Knife high! He slams it down onto the camera as the camera hits the ground where it is looking at Pyramid Head like a victim who just took a hit by the great knife.

I apologize for the lack of details for the Silent Hill spirit battles. I was feeling super good about the first half with his moves but when it came to his extra features like colors, stage, and spirit battles I lost my momentum. But I wanted to still get this moveset made so I can move onto more October selections! While I am familiar with the characters of Silent Hill, P.T is the only one I played myself as I watched playthroughs of the other entries….but I think this is a fair representation of what Pyramid Head would be like in smash and how he would work! Let me know your thoughts on his moveset and potential stages or spirit battles!
