LIFESPAN
THE MOVIE - SEASON THREE
BEGINNINGS 1998 - 2001
EJECT and REWIND may not have the most complicated-looking faces in Transformerdom, but the various angles and proportions of their helmets were for some reason a major challenge for me to render. I did not quite have the eye to see without a certain amount of trial and error how to make the angled lines meet up correctly. Besides, as counterparts to RUMBLE and FRENZY, these two possibly left a little to be desired in the field of artistic incitement. Attempts were therefore few and far between.
SECOND WIND 2007 - 2009
The need to loosen up on the 32x32 pixel restriction was very clear where EJECT was concerned and I did that to agreeable enough effect in 2007. All the same, his faceplate still did not feel right and the eyes were too small. I feel the 2009 iteration may have ended up a bit on the large side -- probably a little bigger than their aforementioned Decepticon foils, in fact -- but it was necessary to achieve the proper appearance. It turned out sufficiently well that the 2012 update was so minor as to be nearly unnoticeable; the primary changes were shading and an adjustment to his "cheekbones."
