I'm probably the only one who laughed at the seemingly random "pai corpse" laying in the background during this pleasant conversation.

Demi, Skie....

I'd just like to make you aware of my appreciation of this story. Much like any good story, the characters are showing a sign of likability, but not too much that they become immediately "BEST BUDDIES FOREVERZ". I'd also like to take this moment to congratulate you on bringing a story to me which doesn't revolve around sex. While I certainly do enjoy it from time to time, it's these sorts of comics which prove that creativity is much better than any raging hardon to replace the storyline or plot.

Thank you for making this and continually developing new pages for your eager fans to read. I for one deeply appreciate it.

DrkKaiser, thank you so much for sharing this sentiment, it means the world to us. We really wanted the story to come first and foremost, and I'm so glad we've managed to achieve that. Anyone who wants this comic to revolve around sex will be sorely disappointed; it's about finding the strength to face your demons, heal your wounds or cover them up, forget/learn from past mistakes, and fight for what you believe to be right against impossible odds...and not be sure if it was right after all. Okay, and a little sex. Maybe.

Hehe, nah, they're definitely not 'best buddehs foreverz', are they? Dice is too much of a jerk for that. I hope that eventually people will warm up to him as his character becomes more multi-dimensional, but for now it's a long upward climb for him since his outlook is currently at rock-bottom. Nine of course is extremely ambiguous at present: he's such a nice guy, right? So why did he shoot a man in cold blood? Thanks for being patient with us, character development takes time, especially with characters as complicated as these two.

We're having a blast making this. Demi is in full art blitzkrieg mode and I'm loving it, she's on fire. It's feedback like yours which makes it all worthwhile, so thank you.

I care to make feedback like this because I know it is so rarely given. You two working together to create such a vivid world is something in which can truly be appreciated and acknowledged. You need to be given credit where it is due, rather than simple and blind praise.

This allows you to know that you have suceeded in what you sought, or perhaps even in areas you didn't imagine you had fulfilled. I do hope that you continue to have a blast in making this, because I certainly am enjoying every image portrayed in their emotions and interactions!

I must say, I'm surprised that Nine decided to tell Dice what he wanted to know so soon. No "if"s, no "but"s, just "k dude, it was this person... Food? :D" Nine is a very intriguing character :o

Glad you pointed it out. Nine is really hard for me to portray here because there is SO MUCH going on in his head that I can't relay because I refuse to depend on thought bubbles or narrative voice over. He's got a million and one conflicting reasons for doing things the way he does and even he is not 100% aware of the true reason behind his actions at this point. Hopefully, when these things are explained later, it'll all make perfect sense.

My apologies if this is dense, but could you explain to me Dice's pose/gesturing in the fourth panel? I'm not sure where he's looking, nor what he's doing with his hands...

He's just rolling his eyes and making a sweeping hand gesture to indicate Nine's not going to get what he wants until Dice does :P
