DeviantART Problem

I don't know if this is happening to anyone else, but today when I was looking at some pictures, the links suddenly took me to a whole new (untrustworthy) site. Just a few moments ago, when I clicked on a comic I was reading, I was taken to a site. The problem was that I couldn't close out of it. When I tried shutting down my computer, the site barred me from shutting it down. Eventually I was able to close it but I still have no idea what or why it happened.
